Details about the makings of these projects:

Meatshop Project:

laminate sections from hardware store (digitally pieced together to create one wall)
counter (built by a friend) using recycled glass and wood
chains, cuffs from retail store
The model is a UH graduate with a Masters degree in social work
the collage of before photos show how much manipulation went into the final work. the cleanup of the images, digital creating, added shadows showcase some of my digital abilities.

Mermaid Project:

Mother Earth's backdrop is composed of various excerpts of my photographs
materials used to construct collar/necklace: flashing metal, split rings, jump rings, glass beads, copper wire, safey pins, cloth
each scale was cut out by hand and linked together as was the collar, taking several weeks.
